WELLINGTON POINT BOWLS CLUB
At our Annual General Meeting in March, John Stollznow stepped down as Chairman of our Club, a position he has held for 14 years and his efforts have been recognised with Life Membership of our Club in 2005 and by the Redlands Sporting Club in 2017. Well done John and all members wish you well.
Our Club continues to shine in District and other external events with the Camp Hill Shield being won by Nellie Siviour, Faye Aquilina, Lesley Hill and Anne Diduk at the prestigious Darra Invitational Masters. Ree Patterson and Noela Kopelke finished 6th, winning four out of five games. In the Ladies Gateway District 4’s Championships our team of Lesley Norris, Maureen Page, Gill Homan and Dell Batten were the winners.
The Ladies Club Championships are well underway and the Pairs Champions for 2018 are Sue Teitzel and Dell Batten over Janelle Jones and Lyn Hartley. The Ladies 4’s Champions for 2018 are Glenis Viertel, Marleen Bertram, Ree Patterson and Noela Kopelke.
We will continue with our regular social and sponsored events throughout the year. Look up our website at www.wellingtonpointbowlsclub.com.au for any news and updates to our Calendar of Events or follow us on Facebook.
