Welcome to the Wellington Point Bowls Club
Home of the Wello Wildcats, located at the back of the Redlands Sporting Club, where good times and great friendships are made
TRY Bowls
The basic rules are simple:
First you roll a small white ball called a Jack. Then you bowl a larger ball, aiming to get as close to the Jack as possible. Points are scored for bowls landing nearest to the Jack and games are played over a number of ends or to a specific score. Many people just play against their friends, but we cater for all levels of participation from social, to team competitions. We are a no pressure club that just enjoys community encouragement and some fun.
Anyone from any age, including school age children can come and try bowls.
All lessons are free! To enquire about an introduction lesson, please contact:

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT SQUAD
We have an up and coming Junior Squad developing for all school aged children.
We meet on a Friday afternoon after school to learn the basics of bowls and most of all, to have fun.
We highly recommend and encourage all juniors to join our competitions as it is the best way to get amongst the club fun and learn the game. They also get to play in other Junior competitions that are held outside of the club.
Success doesn’t happen overnight, but they are part of our family and the future for Juniors is ever growing. The sport teaches them to think, be respectful and best of all it is a sport for life and a sport that families can play together.
Contact the bowls coordinator for more details.
SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM
During the school holidays (excluding Christmas) we hold on Fridays from 2pm – 3.30pm, our very popular, family orientated, fun bowl’s morning.
This is all about having fun and families enjoying time together.
It is fully supervised and everyone from toddlers and up, gets to enjoy the fun side of bowls. At the conclusion of the event, every participant receives a hotdog, a drink and hopefully a smile on their face.
