Golf Report March 2018

The club fixtures got back under way in January at Wynnum with one of our biggest turnouts in quite a few years and this was matched by one of the hottest days we have had. As is the norm for this time of year we have been battling the elements with one fixture being cancelled and another in doubt, but play did go ahead in soggy conditions.
The weather has now thrown out our Match Play Trophy scheduling which will need some adjustments to our fixture table. In view of this we did manage to complete our first trophy event – 4BBB Stableford – at Windaroo on 11 February. The winners of the Trophy were Ian Smyth and Bill Parker with 44 points and Kevan Lucas and Frank Chambers with 41 points.
We have started off the year in a very positive manner with very good turnouts at all games and also the addition of quite a few new members. So if you have been considering joining us for a game of golf on a Sunday morning, do not put it off any longer just give us a call and we will answer any questions you may have.
